FIELD NOTES / THE STORY BEHIND THE FEELING

Good company
doesn’t just happen.

01The room matters.

A gathering begins long before the first hello. Knowing the atmosphere, the pace, and what is expected makes it easier to decide whether to come.

Chillbilli starts with a simple question: what would help you feel comfortable walking into a room? The answer might be a seat you can count on, music you can talk over, or a host who notices when someone arrives alone. Our aim is to make those details visible before you commit. They are part of the experience, not an afterthought.

02Come as you are. Participate your way.

A quiet person belongs in the conversation, too. Connection works better when joining in is an invitation.

You should be able to arrive on your own, take your time, and choose how much to participate. Our proposed host approach includes gentle introductions, optional prompts, and room to listen. No forced sharing, pressure to consume, unwanted photographs, or assumptions about what belonging should look like.

03Know the setting before you go.

From seating and sound to accessibility and the way home: the useful details deserve a place on the invitation.

Before any gathering is offered, we intend to publish its format, group size, price, accessibility details, amenities, house rules, and cancellation terms. If a detail has not been confirmed, we will say so. A named host and an easy way to ask a question should be part of every invitation.

Before you join.

What is available right now?

The introduction, Field Notes, and interest list are live. Gathering formats and concierge services are being developed. No dates, venues, ticket sales, or paid memberships are currently offered.

Who is the community for?

Adults 21 and older who are interested in cannabis culture, comfortable social settings, and thoughtful conversation. You do not need to consume cannabis to belong.

What does concierge mean here?

Our intended scope is hospitality and social planning: atmosphere, accessibility questions, introductions, and practical coordination. Chillbilli does not sell, deliver, source, or arrange the purchase of cannabis, and does not provide medical advice.

Will cannabis use be permitted at gatherings?

No consumption event is being offered or promised. Future gatherings would require a confirmed venue, permissions, and published house rules. Maryland prohibits smoking cannabis in public places. Read the Maryland Cannabis Administration’s guidance.
